Within 24 hours my grumpy baby went to a happy laughing baby :)

LIKES: bath, sophie, when i put my hair over her face, kisses, making sounds with her mouth, taking off her socks, activity mat, mickey mouse club house, bottles/eating, the girls at work, swing, being swaddled, stuffed animals, her binky, activity table (piano part), listening to people talk.
DISLIKES: getting changed, getting burped, being over tired, being put down, taking her medicine.
Dear Hadley,
This past month had been a doozy (xrays,blood draws, and skin testing) you are so strong and make mommy and daddy so proud of you. At your 4 month appointment you were weighed and weighed less then at your 2 month appointment, 10.3lbs at 4 months and 10.4lbs at your 2 month. You should have gained a few pounds not lost an oz! so they freaked mommy out and told me you need to get blood work and see a GI specialist immediately. We got blood done after the appt. (you were so dehydrated that they wouldn't find a vein and when they finally did the vein collapsed half way threw) the next day the pediatrician called and told me the blood work showed that your liver wasn't functioning properly because you were so malnourished. They wanted me to immediately stop breast feeding a go buy prosobee (soy formula) with in the next 4 days you gained 7 oz and were a happy baby! But on the 7th day you had lost 5oz :( turns out you were allergic to the soy formula. We switched to nutramigen but you violently threw it up for 24hours, so yet again we went to the hospital and picked up another kind of formula (neonate). Neocate has been our saving grace, 10.10lbs, 11pounds, 11.12 pounds and as of yesterday 12 pounds!!!!! You were born in the 89th percentile and went below 0percent, you are now in the 2nd percentile and we will continue to give you extra calories (more scoops in your bottle of formula) until you are back in the 89th %. We are at some sort of doctors at least 2-3 days a week but it has all been worth it. Yesterday we went to the allergist and learned that your allergic to milk, not just intolerant, we were given a epipen and told to start solids but to read every label very carefully and wash our hands after we eat dairy and wash your bottle in a diff sink then our dishes. We are told by the time you are 4 that you will outgrow this allergy (fingers crossed). Last night we gave you oatmeal and you LOVED it!
Ok, so all the medical stuff aside... you are becoming just a little person with a definite personality, you work on perfecting new sounds daily and roll when you are put on the floor (you get very angry when you roll onto your stomach). Every single thing you touch goes into your mouth. Yor have really bad exzama and need to be lotioned up multiple times a day, you hated being lotioned at first but are starting to be ok with it. You sleep in your crib now with a wedge under you to keep you upright. Mommy sleeps in your room and daddy right outside on the couch. We work as a team when you wake up, i change you and reswaddle and he feeds you and puts you back in your crib. You are days away from sitting up on your own and im so excited to see that! We love you so much hadley and cant wait to celebrate your half birthday!
