{Burp} Cloths

Nesting...Has kicked in and I have been doing projects left and right the past week!

I used this site as a go to for my burp cloth project.

First i dragged my loving husband to Joanns and picked 5 patterns of fabric and had them cut. Then purchased cloth diapers. 10pk for 12.99 at target.

Supplies needed:
~22″ long x 5 and 3/4″ wide strips of fabric
~cloth diapers
~cereal box
~iron
~scissors
~sewing machine

First iron the fabric and cloths....

step 2: I used a cereal box to create a template that was 4 and 3/4″ wide x 17″ long.  The width is the most important dimension, and it’s okay if your length is longer than your cloth diaper.  Using a template instead of a seam gauge will end up saving you loads of time when pressing.  Just place your fabric down wrong side up, pop in your template, and press down 1/2″ on either side quickly and easily.  Leave about 1 and 1/4″ from the top, and don’t worry about the bottom edge for now.

Step 3:
Take finished strip and place and pin onto cloth

Step 4: find someone who knows how to sew... haha i had to have my mom do all the rest of the work so sorry I don't have step by step pictures of what happens next but if you click the link above she does and excellent job of describing step by step everything!

Bam and now you have awesome burp cloths!

we plan on making 10 more for hadley and of course now throwing them in every baby show gift we give :)

{Operation} Eviction Notice

Natural Labor inducers:
Sex
hot sauce
nipple stimulation
castor oil
dancing
sit on big yoga ball
pineapple
Red Raspberry leaf tea

WARNING:
I dont care what your opinions are...
I am not trying to get my baby out prematurely!
On March 22nd I went into labor and had to have medicine to stop it because I was only 33weeks.
Then again on April 4th i went to the hospital for contractions, and again on April 12th i was having strong contractions every 3.35 min. After walking around for an hour i wasn't dilating any more then when i had arrived and was sent home and told i would probably deliver in the next 1-5 days....! So here 3 days into that 5. So THAT is why i am doing operation eviction notice.

Me and ben have been walking the nature trail every night to "walk" her out

P.S. i've lived by the nature trail for 15 years and never knew they were there...i'm a a hole lol
